Fruit trees are an integral part of many gardens and orchards, providing fresh fruit and pleasing the eye with their appearance all year round. Choosing the right species and varieties allows you to satisfy a variety of taste tastes and adapt the crop to climatic and soil conditions.

Cultivation requirements:

  • Position: Most fruit trees prefer sunny positions, which are conducive to abundant flowering and fruiting. Access to sunlight affects the quality and taste of the fruit.

  • Soil: Fruit trees grow best on fertile, well-drained soils with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Avoid waterlogged and heavy soils, which can lead to root rot.

  • Humidity: Young trees require regular watering, especially during periods of drought. Older specimens are more resistant to water shortages, but during a prolonged drought it is also worth irrigating them.

Care:

  • Planting: The best time to plant fruit trees is autumn or early spring. Before planting, it is worth enriching the soil with compost or manure.

  • Trimming: Regular pruning of fruit trees promotes their proper growth, crown formation and abundant fruiting. This treatment is usually performed in early spring, before the start of vegetation.

  • Fertilization: The use of organic or mineral fertilizers promotes growth and fruiting. Fertilization should be carried out in early spring and after fruiting.

  • Protection against diseases and pests: Regular monitoring of the health of the trees and the use of appropriate plant protection products allows you to keep them in good condition and ensure abundant crops.

Garden Use:

  • Home gardens: Fruit trees fit perfectly in gardens, providing not only fruit, but also aesthetic value thanks to flowering in spring and colorful fruit in summer and autumn.

  • Orchards: For those who have more space, setting up an orchard with a variety of species of fruit trees allows you to obtain varied yields throughout the season.

  • Homemade preserves: Fruit from your own trees is ideal for preparing jams, juices, compotes or tinctures, which allows you to enjoy their taste all year round.
