Gooseberry 'Pushkinskiy' is a valued gooseberry variety with exceptionally tasty fruits and high resistance to diseases. Cultivation requirements of gooseberries 'Pushkinskiy'
Location and soil
- Position: Sunny or slightly semi-shaded. In sunny places, the fruits are more aromatic and sweet.
- Soil: Fertile, humus, permeable, with moderate moisture and neutral or slightly acidic pH.
Watering and fertilizing
- Watering: Regular, especially during periods of drought and during fruit set.
- Fertilization: In spring, it is worth using organic or compound fertilizers to support growth and fruiting.
Care
- Cut: It requires regular pruning to x-ray the shrub and ensure proper ventilation. Old, diseased and excessively thickening shoots are removed.
- Wintering: It is frost-resistant, tolerates Polish winters well, although in the case of young plants in colder regions, it is worth mulching.
