The sawtooth hydrangea 'Morning Glory' is an extremely decorative shrub with delicate, lacy flowers and elegant, serrated leaves. Habit and Size:
A compact, dense shrub with a slightly rounded habit. It reaches a height and width of 80 cm to 1.2 m, which makes it ideal for smaller gardens and beds. -
Flowers:
Flat inflorescences, composed of small fertile flowers in the center and larger sterile flowers at the edges. The colour of the flowers varies depending on the pH of the soil: from blue on acidic soils to pink on alkaline soils. It blooms from June to September. -
List:
Green, serrated, in autumn they turn purple, which adds to the plant's attractiveness in autumn.

Position:
It grows best in partial shade, but can also tolerate sunny positions, provided that the soil is sufficiently moistened. -
Soil:
Fertile, humus, well-drained and moderately moist soils. The pH of the soil affects the color of flowers:- Sour: Blue flowers.

Watering:
Regular, especially during periods of drought. The soil should be constantly moist, but not waterlogged. -
Frost resistance:
Frost-resistant (zone 5–7), but in harsh winters it is worth covering young shrubs with agrotextile.
Care

Trimming:
In early spring, dead and damaged shoots are removed. Old inflorescences can be pruned after winter. Hydrangea serrated blooms on last year's shoots, so avoid strong pruning, which can limit flowering. -
Fertilization:
During the growing season, it is worth using fertilizers dedicated to hydrangeas, especially those affecting the intensity of the flower color. -
Mulching:
A layer of bark or compost mulch helps to keep the soil moist and protects the roots from temperature fluctuations.
