Characteristics of white mulberry

Appearance

• A medium-sized tree, growing up to 10-15 m in height, with a wide, dense crown.
• The leaves are ovoid, serrated, with a variable shape on the same tree.

Fruit

• Small, 1-2 cm long, resembling raspberries or blackberries.
• The color ranges from white through yellowish to pink.
• Sweet and juicy, ideal for consumption raw or in preserves.

Position

• It prefers sunny and sheltered places.

Soil

• It grows best on fertile, well-drained soils, but it also tolerates less fertile soils.
• More resistant to drought than black mulberry.
